Open Door!

In the unending race embedded in life’s competition
And the continuous craving after satisfaction
My soul sobs out no revelation
Tired, exhausted and amidst enervation
It pictures no destination.

Weariness reigns; looms retreat’s expression
Sun of giving up beats my formation
Sweat of failure drenches my imagination
In the cloudiness of my vision
My soul concludes; no intention.

Consciously, as if at a termination
My entity impedes the motion
Then critical questions demand explanation
Wishing to know the ‘why’ for the expedition
Now, I retrace the mission.

In the atmosphere of this resurrection
Sounds a voice; “forward propulsion!”
Spontaneously my dying spirit comes to restoration
And my soul springs an enigmatic impulsion
Spurring my being back to action.

Taking step in a forward motion
Into the ideal terminus of my sheer conception
From above shines down an immaculate illumination
Instantly, the sobbed heart of mine exudes jubilation
Incredible, it is a match into OPEN DOORS of realization!

Once King

How deserted lies the soul
That once so treasured
How like outcast is the one
Who once was heir in the kingdom
How like alien is the being
Who once was clothed with regal splendor
How has the value lost
How has the care been withdrawn
How has the honor turned rebuke
Hey! The royalty is lost

How relegated lies the being
That once full of reign
How like slave is the kin
Who once was master in charge
How like servant is the being
Who once was adored a king
How has the regal priesthood departed
How has the kingship suffered abdication
How has the praises turned reproach
Hey! The royalty is lost

"NOTE:Considering the kind of treatment
received when in womb and as baby
then, we realized all are once king – © Thommy’s Poetry

Who Am I?

Who am I?
Think am what you see (my body)
Think am good/bad
Hey! That’s not me
It’s just the veil
Used to mask the real me
Either to please/displease you
You’ve been deceived!

Who am I?
Exhibiting the veil
You accept/reject me
Hey! That’s never my will
It’s just my wish – apparent me
Am relieved but never fulfilled
All for your sake
You’ve been deceived!

Who am I?
Though the veiling ever alerts
True me still flashes unconsciously
“Whew! Never knew he’s like this”
Yes! You’ve seen a little true me
Whence comes my sense of freedom
Don’t be surprised
You’ve been deceived!

Who am I?
Unmasking who I am; the real me
Look beyond my laughter/frown
Examine my smile/grimace
‘Cos veiled by my body:
My soul and spirit
The emergence of the true me
You’ve been deceived!

Body – persona(lity); you has seen by others
Soul – character; who you really are
Spirit – individuality; what distinct you from others

The Making of A Child

When a child lives with criticism
He learns to condemn
When a child dwells amidst reproach
He develops guilt attitude
When a child grows with ridicule
He develops self-doubt
When a child develops amidst hostility
He assumes life full of cruelty

When a child lives with praise
He learns to appreciate
When a child dwells with tolerance
He develops patience
When a child grows with encouragement
He develops self-confidence
When a child develops amidst fairness
He assumes justice and good conscience

When a child lives with security
He learns to have faith
When a child dwells with approval
He learns to like himself
When a child grows with acceptance
He learns to believe in others
When a child develops amidst amity
He learns to show love

It’s In You

Many today, subject to waste but never too late
Yesterday was history, most still live in
Change is constant, the world never wait
Existence is to no subject if no justice credit
But thou art not need go north, south, east or west
Or visit the pinnacle of the greatest peak
In thy search for the peak or greatness
Thou art dwell much enough on the around – to no avail
So stop, quit from outward; open thy inner eyes
So equipped thou art, look inwards for the price tag
Not thy look nor the color thou cast
Thy life, thy existence, thy worth
Go deep for it, it’s in you and awaits your touch
Ensnare it; paint thy life for a priceless sale

Easter Sonnet

Heeded the trickster; defiance shatters the match
And the “Havened Garden” was confiscated for a switch
Like a leper sighted in the city of Syria march
They were thrown out into an ultimate search
And injustice leads like a tyrannical leader in hitch
Envy flows in their veins like blood gush
Then for “there” at Out-of-Eden; sons of Eve clash
‘Cos the Created Adam despised Him and His wish.
Yet His unfailing love reigns till tomorrow reach
Like a gift of appreciation for love on Val catch
So sent down was The Given Adam to redeem the stanch
Vividly recognizing this, yet man still forsakes His wish
Focusing on “there”; that lies in the search
Without His guide Out-of-Eden holds no niche.

My Verse

“Though thy verse are propagation’
From brainstorming and imagination’
But within thy soul core, the origination
Through inspired inspiration’
Grab from Thy wonderful Creation
To empower life in all ramification’
Though requires journey of exploration
Patiently alongside with meditation
From a heart full of expectation
To lock in the mystery of realization
That lies within thy verse recitation
To obtain the needed motivation
Necessitated for the inspiration
That empowers, for actualization”
